Refund Policy

Because all Maple Mindful Kids products are instant digital downloads, they are delivered immediately upon payment confirmation and cannot be “returned” in the traditional sense. This policy explains when exceptions apply and how to get help if something goes wrong.

1. No-Refund Rule for Digital Downloads

  • ✗  No refunds on completed purchases (digital goods, delivered instantly)
  • ✓  Replacement or refund if a file is corrupted or missing
  • ✓  Full refund if you were accidentally charged twice
  • ✓  Case-by-case review for genuine technical failures

All sales of digital products are final once payment is confirmed and files are delivered. We enforce this policy because:

  • Digital files can be copied and retained after download — there is no way to “return” them.
  • Instant delivery means the product has been received at the moment of purchase.
  • This is consistent with consumer protection law in Canada (PIPEDA), the EU (Consumer Rights Directive), and most other jurisdictions for digital goods with immediate access.

By completing a purchase, you acknowledge that you have read this policy and agree that the right of withdrawal does not apply to digital content delivered immediately, as provided by applicable consumer protection legislation.

2. When We Will Issue a Refund or Replacement

We will always make it right in the following situations:

a) Corrupted or unreadable files

If a downloaded file is corrupted, incomplete, or cannot be opened with standard software (Adobe Acrobat, Preview, etc.), contact us within 14 days of purchase with a description of the issue and a screenshot or error message if possible. We will provide a working replacement file or, if that is not possible, a full refund.

b) Missing files from a bundle

If a bundle product is missing one or more files that are listed on the product page, contact us and we will deliver the missing files immediately.

c) Accidental duplicate purchase

If you are charged twice for the same product — whether by a technical error or by purchasing the same item twice — we will refund the duplicate charge in full. This must be reported within 30 days.

d) Product materially different from description

If a product is substantially and materially different from what was described on the product page (e.g., wrong language version delivered), we will either provide the correct product or issue a refund at our discretion.

3. What We Cannot Refund

  • Change of mind after download.
  • Purchasing the wrong product (please review product descriptions and previews carefully before purchase).
  • Incompatibility with a specific printer, craft machine, or software that was not disclosed as a system requirement on the product page.
  • Requests made more than 30 days after the purchase date.

4. Bundles and Multi-Product Purchases

If a refund exception applies to one item within a bundle, we will refund the proportional value of that item, not the entire bundle price, unless the defective item makes the bundle as a whole unusable.

5. Chargebacks

We encourage you to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback with your bank or payment provider. Chargebacks filed without prior contact will be contested, and accounts associated with fraudulent chargebacks may be permanently suspended.

6. How to Request a Refund or Replacement

To request a refund or replacement, please email us at contact@maplemindfulkids.com. Please include:

  • Your order number (found in your confirmation email)
  • The email address used for purchase
  • A description of the issue
  • Screenshots or error messages, where applicable

We aim to respond to all refund requests within 2 business days.

7. Processing Timelines

Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days. The refund will be returned to the original payment method (card or PayPal account). We are not responsible for additional delays imposed by your bank or payment provider.

8. Governing Law

This policy is governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction may provide you with additional rights that supersede this policy.
