Our Commitment

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities.

Maple Mindful Kids was designed and built with accessibility at its core — semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, screen reader support, and sufficient colour contrast are non-negotiable requirements, not afterthoughts.

Technical Specifications

Keyboard navigable — every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard.
Screen reader compatible — tested with NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, and TalkBack.
Colour contrast — all text meets the WCAG 2.1 AA minimum of 4.5:1 (normal text) or 3:1 (large text).
Reduced motion — animations respect the user's prefers-reduced-motion media query.

Known Issues

We are actively working to fix the following known accessibility issues:

PDF previews
Embedded PDF previews may not be fully accessible to screen reader users. We are evaluating accessible alternatives.
Third-party payment widgets
The Stripe payment form and PayPal button are third-party components. We use their latest accessible versions but cannot fully control their markup.
