The 2-minute family ritual that keeps parents and kids genuinely connected.
❤️ Does your child say "sorry" and keep running?
Amina knows how to say the word. She just doesn't know what it means — yet.
When Amina accidentally breaks Ms. Nour's favourite vase, she shouts "Sorry!" without even looking up. But Ms. Nour gently stops her:
"A real sorry isn't just a fast word. It's a bridge we build to fix a heart."
And so begins one of the most powerful lessons a child can ever learn.
Through Amina's warm and relatable journey, children ages 4–9 learn that a true apology — called tawbah in Islam — has three meaningful parts:
🌙 Rooted in Islamic Values The concept of tawbah — sincere return and repair — is introduced naturally and beautifully. Children discover that tawbah isn't only for friends; it is for Allah too. "Whenever we make a mistake, we go to Allah with those same three steps."
💛 No Shame, Only Growth This story never shames Amina. Instead, it guides her with warmth, patience, and age-appropriate wisdom that mirrors how the Prophet ﷺ encouraged accountability with mercy.
📖 Two Real Scenarios Amina practises the three steps twice — first with Ms. Nour after breaking her vase, then on her own with her friend Omar. Children see the skill applied in real life, not just explained.
🌱 Internal Character, Not Just Behaviour The book ends with Amina choosing to do right even when no one is watching — wiping up a puddle she left by the sink. "She followed the steps even when no one was looking." This is tawbah as character, not performance.
🤍 Gentle Muslim Representation Amina and Ms. Nour reflect everyday Muslim family life with warmth and dignity — no stereotypes, no preaching, just love.
